Sales Associate - Wichita, KS

Salina Blue, a recognized leader in wide and small format imaging solutions is currently seeking applications or the position of outside Sales Associate for our Wichita territory. 

Position Overview

Sales Associate shall report and work with the Vice President of Sales. The Sales Associate shall be responsible for sales activities including lead generation, account calls, development of new accounts, equipment demonstrations, generation of proposals, and follow-up and close of sales for the Wichita territory.  In addition, the Sales Associate will work to develop and implement marketing plans designed to increase businss goals of expanding customer base and enhancing customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and communicate a high level of selling skills including development and reporting of client relationships and referrals.
  • Complete understanding, working knowledge and ability to perform the professional sales process.
  • Professional representation and ability to communicate via phone, digitally as well as in person.
  • Proficient in writing and communication skills.
  • Assist in development of strategies and innovative ideas designed to increase market opportunities.
  • Manage daily sales to arrange appointments, demonstrations, services or deliver/close on proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities including sales calls, presentations, sales opportunities, closed sales, follow-up activities, and issues within designated sales territory.
  • Independently motivated, multi-task oriented, and yet be able to work in a team environment.
  • Individual required to be digitally intelligent and experienced with current technology.

Position Skills

  • 2-5 years experience in sales.
  • Strong organizational skill set.
  • Ability to work alone and within team concept.
  • Positive nature and ability to clearly communicate.
  • Willingness and ability to travel wihen required.
  • Proven ability to achieve defined corporate and personal goals.
  • Demonstrate high knowledge of current digital technology.
  • Must be able to comply with driving insurance requirements.
  • Desire to attend sales support functions that enhance customer relationships.

Credentials Sought

  • At least fifteen (15) years of experience and a proven track record developing and executing strategic global marketing and business development initiatives in an organization of similar size and complexity.
  • Proven ability to create high quality, standard-bearing proposals that reflect discipline and creativity.
  • Solid history of developing strategic marketing plans in a B2B environment.
  • Experience building high-energy, creative marketing and business development talent and resources and the ability to lead, coach, develop, motivate and mentor professional staff.  
  • A Bachelors degree is required; Master’s degree preferred. 

Responsibilities

 

The Director of Global Marketing will hold a key management position and be responsible for providing business development and strategic leadership for the water business.  This newly created position will be responsible for bringing uniformity to a globally integrated workforce, and will develop and execute innovative marketing strategies.  The position collaborates closely with the global marketing team in the development and implementation of strategic and business development goals, plans and policies consistent with organizational initiatives. 

 

Organizational Structure

 

The Director of Global Marketing reports directly to the Executive Managing Director of Client accounts.  Direct reports include a global staff of Marketing and Pursuits Managers, Creative Services, Positioning and Pursuits Strategy, and Information Systems and Support Services.
